The Institute for Studies & Transformations (IST) is a social development organization committed to advancing equity, justice, and democratic participation among marginalized communities. Drawing from its grassroots initiatives, Udaan and Pehchaan, IST works to strengthen both education systems and youth leadership. Through Udaan, the organization focuses on ensuring access to quality, inclusive education in government schools by mobilizing community-based volunteers, supporting School Management Committees, and strengthening foundational learning among children. Complementing this, Pehchaan nurtures a generation of socially conscious youth leaders equipped with the knowledge, skills, and perspective to engage with institutions, address discrimination, and contribute to building a more just and participatory society. Together, these programs reflect IST’s integrated approach to transforming both systems and communities.
